My friend and I were compiling a spreadsheet of books and websites on energy healing. We noticed that some of them were done by former chiropractors. Some of these chiropractors have been very famous and profess miraculous results. I haven’t witnessed any of these miracles, personally, but they are on YouTube. Before I found my primary care physician who is a medical doctor and is also certified in functional medicine, I went to a private doctor who specializes in functional medicine. It turns out that she had received her Doctorate of Chiropractic before pursuing functional medicine other types of treatments.

The author of “Delete Stress and Pain on the Spot”, Dr Kam Yuen became famous as the martial arts instructor for David Carradine, the star of the television series “Kung Fu”. There were a few times when David Carradine would be injured on the set, but through Dr Yuen’s techniques, he would recover and be able to continue with the show. In addition to being an aerospace engineer, Dr Yuen became a Doctor of Chiropractic and calls his method of healing, the “Yuen Method”. From what I understand from his book and YouTube videos, you find where the pain or illness is. If you were to hold your arm out doing this, someone else would easily be able to push it down no matter how much you resisted. Then you focus on your midline which goes down the center of your body. That way you are completely balanced and centered. You can also get in what’s called an athletic position. Think of being a basketball player defending a player with the ball where you are perfectly balanced with your head up, knees slightly bent and arms up. Afterwards, stand straight and think of the pain or illness, but then think of your midline and you will be able to be much stronger in resisting to having someone push your arm down. Then think of sending the illness or pain not only to zero, but to negative infinity so that it will not come back. Evidently, he has had plenty of success because he has a great following.

Dr Richard Bartlett wrote two books on “Matrix Energetics”. From what I understand, it’s based on quantum physics using wave theory. It’s called the “Two Point Method” as you establish two points around your energy field, then connect the two points so that it becomes a wave and then let it go. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing him in action healing people and when he lets go after visualizing a wave between the two points. People collapse into the arms of other people, and they laugh and can’t move for a while. It appears to be magical and miraculous, and I don’t know if it really works, but again he also has a great following because he also has had success.

I wondered what the motivation for them was to go beyond the practice of chiropractic. I think that it’s because chiropractors have been open to all forms of healing in addition to what they have been taught, and they want their patients to be well regardless of what methods they use. Medical doctors have been slow to acknowledge Chiropractic and other forms of healing, but with functional medicine being integrated into the medical profession, more and more are coming around to integrative healing. Some medical groups now have centers for holistic medicine. I have been very fortunate to have a chiropractor that uses energy healing along with his discipline. I feel better just walking into his office because of the positive energy that’s there. I go to him once every four weeks for a “Tune Up”. It’s usually to help with joint or lower back pain, but he has done some amazing things for me. I saw him release an allergic reaction that my wife had to some cream for a precancerous mole. He has released the cortisol from my adrenal glands in an instant several times. He also has me hold my arms straight and then sees the resistance that I have after adjusting me. He does the same for muscle means testing to see what vitamins or supplements that my body needs, serve as a function, or will be bad for me. He also has become very proficient in using Cold Laser Therapy for various issues. And when I leave, I feel GREAT!

Old Historic Astrologer

We begin the month of June with Mercury going direct in the sign of Taurus on Friday morning, June 3. Currently Venus and Uranus are in Taurus and Mars and Jupiter are in Aries. These are indications that the time is right to be proactive about manifesting what we truly want and value.

Saturn turns retrograde in Aquarius on June 4. This change of direction may seem like things are taking longer to materialize with respect to our goals and plans. Saturn is in the Libra decan of Aquarius. Libra is a sign of relationship. We may need to re-evaluate the people we need to connect with in order to successfully support us in our future business ventures.

The First Quarter Phase Moon is in Virgo on Tuesday, June 7. This is a time to be discerning about our priorities with regard to our work, health and service.

Mercury enters Gemini on Monday, June 13. Clarity in our communication with others is favored.

Full Moon in Sagittarius

A Full Moon occurs in Sagittarius on Tuesday, June 14. Being able to express our ideas in a way that motivates others will be necessary in order to support the success of a shared vision. The importance of family is highlighted on Father’s Day which occurs on Sunday, June 19.

A Last Quarter Phase Moon in Pisces offers us an opportunity to help people less fortunate than ourselves on Monday, June 20.

The Sun enters the sign of Cancer on Tuesday, June 21. This signals the beginning of the Summer season and is known as the Summer Solstice. I will be addressing the significance of this event in a future article.

Venus enters Gemini on Wednesday, June 22. An authentic exchange of ideas and information will assist us in improving the quality of our personal and professional relationships.

Neptune goes retrograde in Pisces on Tuesday, June 28. Adequate rest and relaxation will be necessary in order to support our total well-being.

A New Moon in Cancer also occurs on June 28. New approaches to the areas of home, security and family will become essential. Summer time is the right time to celebrate the experience of family and friends that brings us joy and comfort.

The words amulet, charm and talisman are often used interchangeably as different definitions for these terms abound. We’ll assign particular qualities to each category beginning with the most complex, the talisman. Talismans often contain characters or images and are created during a time of specific planetary influence in magic ritual by one versed in occult science. Talismans are magnetized for a distinct purpose and can confer power or protection if desired. Unlike amulets and charms, talismans always have an astrological connection with one of the planets and are made of material sympathetic to that planet.

Amulets are shielding and defensive in their action and used to protect an individual or property from negativity and evil forces. An amulet can be vitalized for a particular use, so a person could have different amulets for different types of protection. Amulets are repulsion-based in their approach and can be imbued with various types of force to resist an extensive array of nefarious energies. Amulets may or may not display planetary significations, or have figures or pictures placed or inscribed on them.

Charms can be magnetized for diverse purposes, with the good luck charms especially known for drawing to a person good fortune, health, and prosperity. Skillfully made charms, like amulets and talismans, radiate their energies undiminished for many years, as a blessing to their owners. Unlike amulets, charms are not primarily protective, but like amulets, they might or might not contain configurations, and are effective based on the strength of their magnetism.

The word talisman comes from the Arabic tilsam, meaning a “magic image”. Talismans come in many forms including- semi-precious stones, rings, carved wood figures, cast metal representations, parchment, breastplates, beads and cloth to name a few. Some positive uses of talismans are- protection from evil energies and situations, spiritual healing of all types, exploring the spirit planes, interpreting dreams and visions, purifying one’s environment, and linking to the world of divine beings.

A wide variety of symbols and forms have been placed on amulets by different cultures. This large group encompasses numbers, letters, magical characters, planetary glyphs, words of power, geometric shapes, god and religious figures, aspects of nature, human body symbolism, and sacred scripture, to mention some.  Amulets were fashioned for all types of protection ranging from scorpion sting protection to protection in battle, to lightning and flood protection, and finally, protection of one’s burial site. Amulets are electrical in nature and use repulsion to repel evil.

Various depictions indicating good luck are found throughout the world. Effectual good luck charms are pervaded with a positive magnetic energy that attracts some form of benefit. In the United States, the upward-pointing horseshoe, four-leaf clover, good luck rings, “lucky” charms, certain religious statues and medals, cornucopia, and treasure chest filled with precious coins and jewels, would often be considered good luck symbols. Good luck charms have been created for- increasing finances, fortune in love and marriage, vigorous health, happy friendships, sound children and luck in business. The creative power of strong faith magnifies the energy originally placed in a genuinely magnetized and sealed talisman, amulet or charm dozens of times. The lost, stolen, completely faded in power and fakes from these three categories are called “dead” and radiate no force. Eye agates have often been used as amulets against the evil eye.

May 20 through June 21

The Sun enters the sign of Gemini on Friday, May 20th. Gemini is an air sign ruled by the planet Mercury. Currently Mercury is retrograde and will not return to direct motion until June 3rd. Major life decisions should be put on hold until Mercury has gone direct. This is a time of reflection and re-connection.

The desire of the Gemini person is to communicate and share information. The retrograde period of Mercury is a good time to review all the information and make sure it is accurate.  Mistakes and misunderstandings are common. Care should be taken to be thorough and evaluate information carefully while Mercury is retrograde.

The Gemini person has a wide variety of interests. There always seems to be so much to learn and not enough time to learn it all. Siblings and neighbors in their immediate environment can offer emotional stimulation and interesting conversation. The exchange of ideas is always welcome.

The Gemini person is curious; they want to explore many topics and relationships. Gemini people make good writers and salespeople. They are gender fluid and like to experiment with different ideas and expressions of themselves. They have many sides to their nature. There may be a battle between their “light” and “dark” side.

One thing is for certain.  If you are in a relationship with a Gemini, you will not be bored; they will keep things changeable and exciting.

Roy Neal is an Aquarius with his ruling planet in the sign of Gemini. If you would like more insight about this zodiac sign call Roy at 720-962-4633.
