SODALITE
by Bob Romero

Bob Romero has been a diligent student of esoteric spiritual subjects and metaphysics for many years, with a life-long quest for answers. He has submitted new and original articles that focus on life lessons and experiences he wishes to share with our readers and the world.

SodaltieSodalite is a common dark blue crystal that can be found in most places that sell crystals. It also has white and black streaks. In the book, “The Essential Guide to Crystals, Minerals and Stones” by Margaret Ann Lembo, it says that for Spiritual uses, “Sodalite is a grounding tool for use as you channel inspirational, spiritual, and/or metaphysical writings. It helps you keep your focus on your third eye center, which allows you to activate the six ‘clairs’ – clairvoyance, clairaudience, claircognizance, clairsentience, clairolfaction, and clairgustation. This dark blue stone is a perfect tool for meditation, as it helps calm incessant internal chatter. Sodalite is good for connecting with Archangels Michael and Raziel”. The book also talks about mental, emotional, and physical uses. Sodalite helps with studying, keeping focus, and avoiding negative thoughts. It balances emotions and restores calmness. It also reduces inflammation and lowers blood pressure. When I went to Liz Oakes ‘Healing Crystals for You” website, she reiterated the same powers for Sodalite that were in the book like helping develop your psychic abilities and intuition. She also mentions that Sodalite is really good for communication and meditation and it’s a good stone for the throat and third-eye chakras. I use both of these sources when I do research about crystals.

In my class on “Towards Inner Peace” our teacher told us to work with the color blue like blue crystals and blue candles. Blue is a soothing and calming color, but it is also linked with higher spiritual power. A very strong attribute of blue is protection and is associated with Archangel Michael. If you search for the spiritual benefits of the color blue, you will find that blue helps with spiritual development and growth and will help you attain inner peace.

Other blue crystals that have similar spiritual powerful abilities are Sapphire and Lapis Lazuli. So why did I choose to write about Sodalite? I didn’t choose Sodalite, it chose me. The utility company had marked up the rock landscaping in my backyard to lay high fiber cable. After they left, I was moving the rocks around, and then I saw this beautiful blue crystal that was polished. I’m no expert on crystals, but I guessed that it was Sodalite. Another thing that was amazing was that right after the class when the teacher told us to work with blue, and an ad for an app to identify rocks appeared on my phone called “Rock Identifier” and there was a free 7-day trial period. It identified that the stone was Sodalite. I brought the stone to the Shining Lotus, and it was confirmed to be Sodalite. I didn’t keep the app, but it had served its purpose.

You may think that this is a coincidence, But according to Carl Jung, there is no such thing as a coincidence. When things like this happen, he calls it “Synchronicity”. I wrote an article in December 2019 on synchronicity, but I think that this goes beyond synchronicity. I think that it’s a Divine gift from Spirit to help me on my spiritual path and to help me write about metaphysical topics.
