BASIC ESOTERIC ASTROLOGY CONCEPTS

Esoteric astrology is the science that works with the energies and forces which act upon and through the entire field of space and all that exists within that field. The ether of space is the medium of transmission for the seven color rays and every energy that affects and influences our solar system. The human etheric body with its seven chakras is part of the planetary etheric body. The Ageless Wisdom teaches that “space is an entity”. It is the life, rhythms, radiations, emanations and cycles of this entity that esoteric astrology deals with.
The same twelve constellations, or sun signs, are used in both exoteric and esoteric astrology, but the planetary rulers and color rays linked to those constellations in esoteric astrology can vary from those in exoteric astrology. Constellations that are strongly related to each other share a common planetary ruler or color ray. In esoteric astrology, the planetary rulers of the sun signs can change depending on whether the individual is an ordinary person, or a more spiritually advanced disciple.
The ordinary person reincarnates through all the constellations multiple times starting with Aries and moving around the “Great Wheel” in a clock-wise direction. The spiritually progressed individual and disciple reincarnate around the zodiacal wheel through the signs from Aries in a counter-clockwise direction. All human beings are on either the ordinary or “reversed wheel”. The esoteric astrologer must try to assess the consciousness level of the person they’re interpreting the astrology chart for, to determine whether to use exoteric astrology, esoteric astrology, or a combination of both.
A list of constellations, ruling planets, and color rays, first for exoteric and secondly, esoteric charts. Exoteric chart= Aries- Mars, indigo/ Taurus- Venus, orange/ Gemini- Mercury, green/ Cancer- Moon, green/ Leo- Sun, blue/ Virgo-Mercury, green/ Libra- Venus, orange/ Scorpio- Mars, indigo/ Sagittarius- Jupiter, blue/ Capricorn-Saturn, yellow/ Aquarius- Uranus, violet/ Pisces- Jupiter, blue. Observe that red is missing among the color rays.
Esoteric chart= Aries- Mercury, green/ Taurus- Vulcan, red/ Gemini- Venus, orange/ Cancer- Neptune, indigo/ Leo- Sun, blue/ Virgo- Moon, green/ Libra- Uranus, violet/ Scorpio- Mars, indigo/ Sagittarius- Earth, yellow/ Capricorn- Saturn, yellow/ Aquarius- Jupiter, blue/ Pisces- Pluto, red. Notice the inclusion of Vulcan, Earth, Neptune and Pluto among the esoteric planetary rulers.
The system of esoteric astrology has twelve planets, seven of which are sacred planets, five are non-sacred planets. Sacred planets synthesize soul and personality, as well as consciousness and form. The planetary Logos of a sacred planet is more evolved than the Logos of a non-sacred planet. Non-sacred planets relate to the personality functioning on the lower four planes of life. The sacred planets are- Vulcan, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The non-sacred planets include- Sun, Moon, Earth, Mars and Pluto.
Crosses are important to esoteric astrology, with the cardinal, fixed and mutable crosses being accented. Crosses symbolize four different streams of energy merging at the central point of the cross. The cardinal cross= the four cardinal signs, fixed cross= the four fixed signs, the mutable cross= the four mutable signs. The three crosses correspond to varying levels of consciousness and soul unfoldment.
The Science of Triangles of Energy and the Science of the Chakras underlie esoteric astrology. The major seven chakras in a person’s etheric body all attune to a ruling planet and color.

A SOUND BATH & A SAGE/FEATHER CLEANSE

I found a wonderful new metaphysical shop, called Majick Soul in Lafayette Colorado, that offers holistic healing services which include a Crystal Biomat, Reiki, frequency and sound baths. It’s owned by a mother and a daughter, Monica Fernandez and Sierra Perez. The Crystal Biomat has crushed Amethyst and Tourmaline crystals in it along with infrared light. Plus, you can listen to either solfeggio frequency sounds or Monica will play Tibetan Bowl frequencies while you lay on the Biomat. Monica is a shaman who works with frequencies and comes from a long line of healers and has passed this gift to her daughter Sierra. Sometimes they have specials like a five-minute sound bath and a sage and feather cleanse.
So, I decided to try the five-minute sound bath and a sage and feather cleanse. For the sound bath, I stepped into a large Tibetan Singing Bowl that had footprints in the bowl for me to place my feet.
Monica went around me and tapped the bowl with the mallet. Not only could I hear the frequency, but I could also feel the vibration which was cleansing me of negative energy. The vibration resonated deep within me as I have this reverence for Tibetan Singing Bowls, and I can feel the presence of Spirit. After that, I went outside with Sierra, and she lit a sage stick. She had me put my arms out to the side and she went around me waving the lit sage stick cleansing me of all negative energy or releasing any energy that was stuck. She also did the same with a feather and she said that this would protect me from any negative energy. I felt really good after the sound bath and sage and feather cleanse in my mind, body, soul and spirit. Of course, I feel really good just walking in the Majick Soul as I can feel the positive energy. The store is very aesthetically pleasing and especially with their rich vibrant colors.
Two days later, my wife and I were returning from church. As we were going through the intersection with a green light, a car turned right in front of us. The driver must not have seen us and was turning right on a red light. My wife braced for the impact as there was only one lane. I stepped on the brakes and swerved to the left without hitting the median. Somehow, someway, we went by the other car without hitting it. We were both very relieved.
When I visited the Majick Soul later that week, I told Monica and Sierra what had happened, and I thanked Sierra for the protection. Sierra said that she had never done that before during a sage and feather cleanse, and that it just came to her to offer the protection. I’ve been through that intersection several times since and I still don’t see how two cars can fit through there. I think that it was the magic from Monica and Sierra from the Majick Soul that I was able to do that.

OCTOBER 2025 ASTROLOGY UPDATE

We begin the month of October with the Sun and Mercury in Libra and Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto all retrograde. Mars in Scorpio is indicating a personal desire to move forward but the Universe is requiring patience until many levels of personal and collective change and transformation have been completed.
Mercury enters Scorpio on Monday, October 6th. Our understanding and awareness of the process of transformation is likely to include the release of certain items and attachments that we no longer need.
A Full Moon occurs in Aries also on Monday, October 6th. The need to be assertive about what we perceive to be fair and equitable in our personal and professional relationships will need to be addressed.
A Last Quarter Phase Moon occurs in Cancer on Monday, October 13th. This is the same day that Venus enters Libra and Pluto goes direct in Aquarius. Emotional issues in how we relate with others could revolve around empowerment, independence and letting go of power and control. Loving detachment is likely to win the day.
A New Moon occurs in Libra on Tuesday, October 21st. New beginnings in how we communicate and relate with others is favored.
The Sun enters the zodiac sign of Scorpio on Wednesday, October 22nd. The opportunity to embrace a new experience of personal empowerment may require letting go of attachments to people and things of the past. Making room for the new always requires letting go of the old.
Prior to the Sun entering Scorpio the planet Neptune retrogrades back into Pisces. The symbolism here suggests a kind of spiritual surrender to situations and circumstances that we no longer control.
A First Quarter Phase Moon occurs in Aquarius on Wednesday, October 29th. Mercury enters Sagittarius also on this day inviting us to expand our vision of what is possible. We are emotionally awakening to new possibilities, potentials and perspectives.

The Sun enters the zodiac sign of Libra on Monday, September 22nd. Libra is an air sign ruled by the planet Venus. Venus is a planet of relationship. The Libra person learns about themselves as a result of their relationships with others.
The time of Libra is known as the Autumn Equinox. Libra is a sign of balance. The Equinox is a time of equal day and equal night. The Libra person desires to know both sides of a situation or issue; they may appear indecisive until they have carefully examined all of the facts. For this reason they may be a valuable ally in the process of diplomacy and conflict resolution. Libras often make good lawyers.
The Libra person may need partnerships and relationships to help them resolve conflicts with the opposite sides of their own nature. Finding ways to cultivate peace and harmony both inside and outside of themselves could help them experience inner peace and healthy relationships.
