Astrology

by Bob Romero

PlanetsI have no expertise when it comes to astrology, but as a student who attended presentations and have had readings done by an expert astrologer, I can share some amazing experiences that have happened to me. When I researched astrology online, I found the following definition in Wikipedia which is that Astrology is a pseudoscience that claims to divine information about human affairs and terrestrial events by studying the movements and relative positions of celestial objects. A more Christian conservative website stated that astrology is a forfeit of one’s freedom by allowing lifeless, unintelligent stars and planets to dictate a person’s life, likes, dislikes, personality and even determining how one should behave. That last description seems pretty closeminded and judgmental to me. My opinion is that astrology is a communications tool between Spirit and us, using the sun, the moon, and the planets. And from the demonstrations that I’ve attended, it was conveyed to me that while astrology can be used to predict the future, the future is malleable and ours to determine. However, we can use this information to our advantage. Before the pandemic, there were monthly lectures on astrology at the bookstore. Not only were they informative, but they were also a lot of fun, and at the end of each presentation, we each drew Tarot cards, and she would interpret their meaning to us. The psychic abilities of the reader became readily apparent as she often described our situations and what avenues we should pursue. Her intuition was amazing. The one talk that stuck out to me was that in 2019, she mentioned that Pluto was returning to the position where it was at in 1776 when the USA was formed. It takes 248 years for Pluto to orbit the sun. So, it will complete the orbit in 2022. She said that as a result, the USA will be facing a similar crisis as it did in 1776 as far as being a democratic republic. Based on what happened this past year, with the assault on our democracy, she was right. I went to the same reader to get our astrological charts read for my immediate family when my granddaughter was born, and then four years later when my grandson was born. It was a lot of fun and I had them recorded so that the other family members could hear them. According to our zodiac signs and birthdates, she was able to correctly match our personality traits. I know that some horoscopes are generic enough so that they can fit anybody, but she was very specific about each one of us, and she was right on. The best part was that she forecasted the behavior of our little Leo granddaughter and her “Shirley Temple” demeanor which has greatly helped her parents with their childrearing of her. So far, her prognostic indicator of our Aries grandson being a “little emperor” have been on the mark. At the last reading, she identified past actions that we actually experienced, and then predicted events in the future that would happen for each of us. Some of those have occurred in the timeframes that she specified, just like what she said. Having astrological readings are a lot of fun, and they are even more fun when they are accurate and true. There are some excellent books in the bookstore on learning Astrology, and based on what I’ve experienced, astrology is something that I will definitely look into. In Honor of Pisces

by Roy Neal

February 18 – March 20 The Sun enters the sign of Pisces on Thursday, February 18th. Pisces is a water sign ruled by the planet Neptune. In Greek mythology Neptune is known as Poseidon, god of the sea. Pisces symbolically represents the ocean of our subconscious mind. The Pisces mantra is: “Trust, Surrender, Forgive, Release. Accept, Allow and Receive.” During the time of Pisces we are encouraged to connect with the spiritual side of our nature. This connection can be enhanced through meditation, prayer and other forms of spiritual practice. Cultivating our intuition and spiritual guidance can help us successfully navigate the emotional experience of anxiety and the mental experience of confusion and uncertainty. Deep breathing, yoga, tai chi and other forms of physical exercise are recommended. We are invited to nourish our creativity and imagination through poetry, art, music and movies. The Sun will remain in Pisces until it enters Aries on Saturday, March 20th at the Spring Equinox. Roy Neal is a professional astrologer with a private practice in the Denver/Boulder area. March 2021 Astrology Update

by Roy Neal

We begin the month of March with the Sun, Venus and Neptune all in the sign of Pisces. Empathy, Compassion and the desire to help others are common expressions of Pisces energy. Neptune is the ruling planet of Pisces and symbolizes our emotional desire to connect with the spiritual realm. This connection can be facilitated by meditation, prayer and other forms of spiritual practice. If, however, we choose to use this energy for personal pleasure or gain we may be tempted to deceive others, indulge in alcohol, drugs and develop addictions to sensual pleasure. Mars enters Gemini on Wednesday, March 3rd. Gemini is a sign that favors communication, curiosity, short trips, connection with siblings and other people in our immediate environment. The desire to write and communicate ideas is in high focus. A Last Quarter Phase Moon occurs in the sign of Sagittarius on Friday, March 5th. An emotional need for travel, freedom and adventure is indicated. Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn continue their transit in the sign of Aquarius. Innovation, new inventions and business opportunities utilizing technology is favored. A New Moon occurs in Pisces on Saturday, March 13th. This New Moon is in the Scorpio decan of Pisces. A focus on healing, psychology and counseling may be helpful to those people who have suffered the loss of a loved one or family member. Mercury enters the sign of Pisces on Monday, March 15th. The importance of trusting your intuition and spiritual guidance is enhanced while Mercury is in Pisces. The Sun enters the sign of Aries on Saturday, March 20th. This event is known as the Spring Equinox and is symbolic of a time of new beginnings and warmer weather. Venus enters the sign of Aries on March 21st along with the First Quarter Phase Moon in the sign of Cancer. These events signal a time for action (Aries) to provide more emotional security for self and family members. Uranus continues its transit in the sign of Taurus indicating independent and unconventional ways of manifesting success in the areas of business and finance. A Full Moon occurs on Sunday, March 28th in the sign of Libra. Opportunities for increased awareness regarding mutually beneficial alliances and agreements with others are favored. The theme of transformation continues as long as Pluto continues its transit in the sign of Capricorn. Changes in our priorities involving work, goals, career and life direction will be common. Three Outstanding Mystical Healers

by Bruce Johnson

Ancient Egyptian and Greek priest-physicians, initiated  into the Mysteries, applied their esoteric knowledge to the task of healing humans on physical. emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Knowing the effect of etheric, astral, and mental energies on the human body opened the door to unique healing methods that were at times near miraculous in their results. Three such eminent Initiate-Healers are Hermes Trismegistus, Hippocrates and Paracelsus. Thrice-greatest Hermes is the founder of the healing arts. His six Hermetic Books on Medicine teaching the subjects of physical anatomy, pathology, surgical instruments, eye ailments and medicines were the foundation of medical knowledge for the Egyptian priest-physician. Hermes related the causes and cures of disease to the number seven. Here are the seven causes of disease as per Hermes in random order. 1 Foreign matter, blockages and contaminations. 2 Wrong use of an organ or capacity of the body. 3 Negative spirits. 4 Harmful mental and emotional influences. 5 Astrological causes. 6 Etheric and dense physical body misalignment. 7 Law of Cause and Effect. The seven primary methods of Hermetic healing are- 1 Eliminating poisons. 2 Faith and prayer. 3 Ordered daily life and proper diet. 4 Sound, music and color. 5 Charms, amulets and talismans. 6 Herbal remedies. 7 Invocations, decrees and rituals. The priest-physician Hippocrates, called the ”Father of Medicine”, was born on the Greek island of Kos in 460 B.C. He incarnated into the lineage of the semi-divine Greek priest-physician Asclepius, and like his father, became an Initiate of the Asclepian Mysteries. Hippocrates taught that all knowledge could be found in observing nature and determined that many diseases could be cured by natural means alone. He divided diseases into two general categories, those externally caused, and those maladies internally generated. Disorder and imbalance of the “four humours” was the fundamental cause of disease according to Hippocrates. Hippocrates often used diet and special baths, along with various herbal treatments to cure his patients. Hippocrates is most well known for the Hippocratic Oath, and for separating the healing sciences from the other inter-related temple mystery teachings. He pioneered many medical discoveries and innovations, including clinics having different wards with patients watched and cared for by attendants, and the bedside manner. The brilliant  physician, alchemist, astrologer and chemist Paracelsus applied his deep esoteric learning to the discipline of medicine and the healing arts. His contempt for the traditional medical practices of sixteenth century Europe, along with his amazing success as a physician, was reacted to by his fellow doctors with jealousy and hatred. He was known to cure almost any ailment by the power of amulets and talismans alone.  Paracelsus rediscovered the occult properties of the magnet and used electro-magnetism to heal many diseases.  Like the Egyptian Hermes, he knew of the efficacy of faith in the healing process, teaching that faith was a power that could be used to affect matter and heal bodily discord. As an adept alchemist, Paracelsus had succeeded in combining the seven planetary metals of gold, silver, copper, lead, iron, tin and mercury under proper astrological conditions, to create that little-known, extremely potent magical substance called Electrum. Electrum is antipathetic to all evil influences, and Paracelsus used it to create various healing tools. Paracelsus was the greatest physician of his day, and used Electrum to cure terrible diseases, repel evil spirits, and detect poisons, among other uses.
