In Honor of Scorpio

by Roy Neal

The Sun enters the sign of Scorpio on Thursday, October 22. Scorpio is a water sign ruled by the planet Pluto. Pluto is the planet of transformation. As the days get shorter and the shadows grow longer we observe the appearance of death in the natural world. The trees are shedding their leaves and we have an opportunity to let go of emotions and things we no longer need.

The Scorpio person can be secretive, passionate and very perceptive about what is going on with other people. The Scorpio person loves a mystery; they have a natural talent for investigation and research. The lesson for Scorpio is the wise use of power and control. The challenge for Scorpio is to know when to: “Let Go and Let God.”

A Full Moon occurs on Halloween in the sign of Taurus. This is a time to honor our loved ones who are now in the realm of spirit. We may want to ask ourselves this question: What do we need to let go of in order to manifest the greatest amount of value in our life right now?

November Astrological Update

by Roy Neal

We begin the month of November with the end of Daylight Savings Time and the celebration of All Saint’s Day on Sunday, November 1st. Mercury goes direct in Libra on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd. Ample opportunity for un-clarity and indecision will occur until Friday, November 20 when Mercury finally leaves the “shadow” of the retrograde experience. There is a Last Quarter Phase Moon in the sign of Leo on Sunday, November 8th. The motivation for creative self-expression and the desire to do something fun and liberating is enhanced.

Mercury enters the sign of Scorpio on Tuesday, November 10th. Our mind will naturally be drawn to investigation and intrigue. Business and finances will occupy a good portion of our mental energy. Mars goes direct in Aries on Friday, November 13th. The opportunity to take action and move forward with plans and projects will finally meet with less resistance.

A New Moon occurs in Scorpio on Saturday, November 14th. New beginnings in the allocation and distribution of personal and collective resources are likely to occur as we let go of our desire to exclusively manage and control our business and financial relationships. Venus enters Scorpio and the Sun enters Sagittarius on Saturday, November 21st. The more we allow others to be empowered the more personal freedom we will experience.

A First Quarter Phase Moon in Pisces on the evening of this same day encourages us to trust our intuition, get plenty of sleep and avoid the desire to escape through drugs or alcohol. Music and some form of spiritual practice may be just the remedy we need on Sunday, November 22nd to soothe our soul.

Thanksgiving occurs on Thursday, November 26th. This day will give us an opportunity to express gratitude for all of our blessings and share with others a spirit of kindness, compassion and goodwill. Neptune goes direct in Pisces on Saturday, November 28. An opportunity to enhance our guidance and intuition increases as we consciously make time for meditation, prayer and regular spiritual practice.

Full Moon over Water

A Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Gemini occurs in the early morning hours of Monday, November 30th. This eclipse reminds us to consciously care for our mind and cultivate more skill in articulating our truth. All forms of honest communication are favored.

Inner Properties Of Minerals

by Bruce Johnson

The ancient Mystery Schools divided the infinite One Life into seven kingdoms of nature. These kingdoms ranged from the lives on the most subjective spiritual planes far beyond the human level, to the densest, most objective kingdom called the mineral kingdom. Each of these seven kingdoms is attuned to one of the seven color rays, and each is sub-divided into seven sub-kingdoms, also based on the seven rays. All the kingdoms of nature express life, consciousness, have their own note and color, and are evolving to a higher level.

The mineral kingdom reflects condensed and concretized Divine Life, or akashic substance in its densest and most solidified form. Minerals are living entities that are evolving, like all life, through the kingdoms of nature. After progressing through all the sub-kingdoms of the mineral kingdom, the life within the mineral ensouls an elementary plant, and begins its evolution through the seven levels of the plant kingdom. There is a well-known occult saying- minerals evolve into plants, plants evolve into animals, animals evolve into humans, and humans evolve into super humans. Kingdoms past the super human are beyond the scope of this article.

The mineral kingdom has seven sub-levels, with each sub-level overseen by a particular color ray. Every mineral has an attunement and rapport with one of the seven color rays. Members of the mineral kingdom do have affinities and antipathies with others of their kingdom. All the kingdoms are linked to particular color rays, with the red and violet rays most connected to the mineral kingdom. The life principle or red color being expressed in orderly geometric patterns through the organizing quality of the violet ray, describes the mineral kingdom. Minerals are spirit in its most solid form.

Recognizing there are seven ray-based sub-levels in the mineral kingdom, let’s look at four basic levels of evolution within the mineral kingdom. The least-evolved of these four groups of minerals are the base metals, including iron and lead. Precious metals are the next group and more advanced in evolution than base metals. Precious metal examples are gold, silver and platinum. Further in evolution than the precious metals are crystals and semi-precious stones. Members of the quartz family would fall into this category. The most evolved minerals are the precious jewels, with the diamond being the highest form of evolution in the mineral kingdom. Both the ruby and sapphire, (corundum) are part of this group of highly evolved minerals.

Another property of the mineral kingdom is that minerals and stones have varying electrical polarities. For example, the sapphire has a positive electrical charge, while the diamond, garnet and amethyst are negatively charged. Studying the electrical polarities and affinities of minerals and stones is a little-known aspect of occult science.

Like every physical thing, all stones, minerals and metals have etheric and astral duplicates that underlie their dense physical forms. Of the four basic ethers, the fourth or densest ether is the one linked to the mineral kingdom. The fourth ether is involved with how the ancients magnetized stones, metals and minerals, and how they affected them in various ways.

Examples of these influenced minerals include-divination stones, protection stones, scrying minerals, prophecy stones, astral projection aids, terraphim; or talking idols, magical rings and breastplates, stones to assist clairvoyance, healing stones, and weather modifying stones.

He is also a spiritualist minister, with a background in spiritual astrology. He lives in Colorado with his wife and their cat.

Guided Meditations

by Bob Romero

Guided meditation is actually guided visualization that is usually done by a spiritual teacher or guru. Their soothing voice helps us relax and become centered. We usually begin by focusing on the breath. Then the guide will take us on a magical journey to either beautiful places or to celestial beings who will grant us what we want. We often go to places that I’ve never dreamed of, or ever considered. We’re often filled with bright healing energy from Spirit that heals us physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This energy is pure and directly from Spirit. There are sometimes pools, waterfalls, or sacred flames that cleanse and release us from all of our pains, sorrows, and emotional challenges.

What I like about guided meditations, is that there are no limits for our wants and desires, and as children of Spirit, we deserve everything that we ask for. These guided meditations can help us manifest a rich and rewarding life full of joy and happiness. Love, light, and wisdom are ours to achieve. They can also offer us protection from negative thoughts and energy. Even if you don’t receive all of these gifts, you still will have inner peace and stillness which will help you relax and be calm, especially during these trying times. Achieving balance and being centered are healthy benefits of this practice. It has been scientifically proven that meditation, whether it’s guided or not, can significantly reduce high blood pressure.

In-person guided meditations are preferable, but there are also lots of guided meditations on-line. One has to be careful and make sure that they are from reliable sources. They should reflect only the highest good, truth, wisdom, and light. You should be totally comfortable with these meditations and that they are inline with your values and morals. They usually have music or sound that helps put you in a trance of tranquility. While most guided meditations are with your eyes closed, there are some on YouTube that also have beautiful nature scenes and inspirational sayings.

There are also some channelers who work directly with angels and spirit guides. These are the best because the directions are coming from the guides or angels. One of my favorites is Melanie Beckler. She has plenty of courses and other items for sale on her website, but she also has plenty of free readings and meditations on YouTube. Best of all, I have been fortunate to attend personal meditations weekly over the last several years. A few of these meditations can be found at yourpathtospirit.com. Afterwards I feel energized and uplifted, and any concerns, worries, aches and pains, that I had prior to the guided meditation, are gone.
