MANTRAS – THE POWER TO HEAL, BLESS, PROTECT, AND MANIFEST YOUR DEEPEST DESIRES

Mantras are truly one of the most powerful tools for creation and manifestation… basically they are the very essence of the Energies of Creation… expressed as Sound-Vibrations. They are Sacred Energies used by great Masters throughout history to connect them with a greater Power or a Divine flow of Energy. They are considered so sacred that they were kept as “the secret powers of the Gods“… used only by High Priests and Priestesses, and gave them powers ‘beyond human abilities’.

For many practitioners Mantras are the invocation of Spirit, and are often used in Rites and Ceremonies, for healings and blessing, or for personal spiritual guidance and evolution… For others they are simply ‘the call to action’ – the calling forth of particular energies which can be used to manifest whatever is desired. Both of these perceptions are true – they simply reflect the Practitioner, and the purpose he/she wishes to create.

Mantras are very powerful, safe, and very transformative… even the most basic ones can bring about phenomenal changes in your Life. They do not require you to change your Spiritual Beliefs, nor demand any kind of personal sacrifice… just a desire to create changes in your Life. They can attract true love, wealth, spiritual guidance, awaken creativity, strengthen and support a business, bless and protect yourself and loved ones.

There is no limit to what they can do for they are the very essence of Spirit-Creator, and the Seeds of Creation.

We are offering a two month, in-depth workshop, where we will explore a broad range of Mantras in a practical, safe, hands-on program. PLANETS AND POSSIBILITIES: A LOOK AT THE ASTROLOGY OF JANUARY 2017

It’s the beginning of a new calendar year with energetic Mars joining inspirational Neptune in watery, transcendent Pisces, sending us the message that we’re entering new territory. We have the Sun (our consciousness) in ambitious, earthy Capricorn acting as our ally as we determine to find our place within our ever-changing environment. Capricorn focuses on our need to create a stable base of operation from which to operate, realizing that this base must exist within ourselves. Our immediate concern is to figure out how much we rely on old patterns and how we may release wishful thinking associated with the seductive lure of nostalgia.

Mercury (our thought processes), also in Capricorn, aids us in advising caution in jumping into any actions before we re-think and review all our options. He’s in retrograde mode through most of the month, which means that important information is not yet available to use.

January 3 romantic Venus enters Pisces and finds herself interacting with Mercury. This is an infectious combination, which offers us the opportunity to entertain thoughts of love with an other-worldly component. This sounds promising!

January 6 the Sun and intense Pluto come together in a charged embrace and we shouldn’t be surprised if previously buried material surfaces to supply us with interesting reflections.
Are we arranging our time to allow for contemplation?
Are we feeling stimulated by new ways of thinking about a situation?

January 8 Mercury officially turns direct but it will be in his shadow until January 27

January 10 the Sun confronts rebellious Uranus in fiery Aries encouraging us to seriously reconsider aspects of our identity and what we should do to help ourselves to branch out and welcome the unpredictable. Simultaneously, Mars is getting along well with evolutionary Pluto and fuels us in our mission to grow. We are going the right direction and January 11 the Sun challenges optimistic Jupiter in airy, relationship-oriented Libra to prepare a realistic plan to implement our ideas.

January 12 we have a Full Moon(culmination) in watery, sensitive Cancer. The Sabian Symbol is “The meeting of a literary society: an objective and critical approach to the common factors in our culture and to the psychological problems.”
Are we availing ourselves of diverse cultural events available to us?
Do we identify ourselves with a particular culture?

January 19 the Sun enters airy, dynamic Aquarius which is noted for promoting innovation and boundless creativity. This sign is represented by the Water Bearer who showers humanity with uplifting ideas. The ruling planet Uranus is called the Great Awakener and acts as a catalyst to grant us authenticity. We achieve this through divesting ourselves of all that is superfluous. This requires coping with change on our part, our flexibility is what carries us through the turmoil.

January 20 is the Presidential Inauguration with the emotional Moon in watery, passionate Scorpio, stimulating the Sun in Aquarius. This event attracts the attention of the world and we need to acknowledge its import while remaining in our center choosing to avoid any stressful situations we may encounter.
Are we monitoring our media intake?

January 23 brainy Mercury and dreamy Neptune compare notes on how we may ramp up our spiritual practices. We’re reminded about the connection between mind and spirit which facilitates our acceptance of others and ourselves.

January 27 the New Moon(new beginnings) in detached Aquarius promotes our need to be independent, no matter what the expectations of others may be. We are reminded that we are on a journey to unveil our promise through tapping into the resources that surround us. The symbol is “A flag is seen turning into an eagle. The dynamic incorporation of new social values in individuals who exemplify the spiritual potential and greatest significance of these values.” Mars enters pro-active Aries as we process this message, giving a lot of umph and encouragement to our ventures.

January 29 Mercury, who is free at last, interacts with Pluto and then Uranus on January 31. The end of the month promises to be volatile as we continue our individual uncharted course. We’re used to this by now and continue to rely on our grounding practices, realizing we’re in a cycle that brings us tremendous insights along the way. We’re lucky to have each other for company!

YES-MAN, BOGEY-MAN, BEGGAR-MAN, THIEF…

This is the story of a young man who went on a hike with those he thought were his friends.

It was warm and pleasant day, idyllic you might say… pretty flowers all in bloom, birds chirping all the way, and if thunder played far away, well, who’s to say…

All was gentle, all was great… until they faced the rumbling river, and the ravine in the way. “There’s a log cast across, as a bridge we must accept.” “It is too dangerous,” one exclaimed, “I fear we’re all doomed, here to stay…”
“Stay or go back… that’s our choice.”
“Nonsense,” said another, “just walk across… it’s far too late to stay the same.”
“Help me tie a rope around my waist, so if I fall you may be my saving grace!”
“Better to tie one around the neck!” said another, “thus to ensure a proper effort.”
“Nonsense you old fool! All can see that it’s best to crawl across. Embrace the narrow, treacherous log… hang on to it like the lover you never had… caress its gnarly bark for it is the only way – and if you get scraped… well, that’s the price you pay!”
“Better inch over it, crawling like a worm… for the closer you are to it, the safer it will hold you.”

The discussion grew louder and louder, tempers frayed, the sky darkened as thunder moved closer, not away.

So, the young man looked and pondered… and after proper reflection, nimbly walked across, even as his ‘friends’ fought… but stayed their way. Now on his journey he thought, “What strange opinions each of us have – so fast to assume the worst, and even more, doomed perceptions… Yes, to many the log was far too narrow… to me it was a bridge a mile wide! As my feet are not soooo big, it was enough to carry me, safely, to the other side.”

How strange is Life… how simple – or complicated. Is it ‘truth’ or mere subjective perception… and what does it all mean to me…!?

Welcome to 2017… don’t say I didn’t warn you!!
Yes, the Path may be confusing, the suggestions even worse, and all must live through it… so – as always – the choice is yours: Live joyfully and prosper… immaterial of nay-sayers around you… or, stay stuck, and wallow even as others do…

“So, how do we deal with it all?” you ask. Simple! You just stay centered, lift yourself up by your bootstraps, and move beyond the illusion that faces you.

CUBE SYMBOLISM AND THE ANCIENT WISDOM

A cube or hexahedron is a square in three dimensions with each face equal in size. The New Jerusalem that allegorically descends from heaven in the Book of Revelation is a cube of approximately 1400 miles in length, width, and height. Islam’s holy mosque in Mecca contains the Caaba, which is based on the double cube. Esoterically, the cube is a symbol of the regenerated and perfected soul, living in a state of permanence.

The ancients often symbolized the logical rational mind of man as a cube, in contrast to the spirit, signified by a sphere. The cube is one of the five perfect solids of Plato and Pythagoras, along with the tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron. It corresponds to the number four, the body and the earth element, and is symbolic of matter, stability, solidity, and truth, which is eternal and unchanging. Cube symbolism is also found of the Tarot, contained in the Emperor, Chariot, and Justice Cards. The Devil Card displays a half- cube, representing imperfection, imbalance, and excessive materialism.

The cube was frequently used as a pattern in ancient times for many types of buildings, including temples of all kinds, and was often the foundation stone of the structure. The six faces of the cube when unfolded form a Latin cross. Numerous altars and temples around the world were based on the cube and/or the Latin cross, including the famous Temple of Solomon.

The crystal system of different elements, minerals, and gems, are not surprisingly, built on the cube. Halite (salt), fluorite, pyrite, garnet, lapis lazuli, spinel, and diamond are all based on the cubic crystal system. Many of the metals with the densest specific gravity are based on the cube. This group includes copper, silver, gold, platinum, and lead.

Although not known for religious structures founded on the cube, Larimer Square in Denver does have restored buildings of Civil War vintage that are architecturally interesting to see.

The book-The Continuum Encyclopedia of Symbols, edited by Udo Becker, is a good book for the student of symbology, along with-A Dictionary of symbols, by J.E. Cirlot.
