MARCH ASTROLOGICAL UPDATE

PISCES (February 20-March 20) marks the twelfth and final sign in our journey through the zodiac. An emphasis on greater unity-consciousness, heightened intuition, and spiritual awareness are highlighted. This sign is the most sensitive of all the twelve signs and is noted for its depth of feeling, compassionate nature, and gentle sweetness. Many natives of this sign are born with strong creative, artistic and musical talent.
March begins with Mercury’s communication oriented transit as it makes a temporary shift from Pisces, into bold, decisive Aries, on March 2th.  It then makes a reverse turn backwards to shift into the second of its tri-annual retrograde journeys on the 12th. This is further complicated by another shift as Mercury returns back into the sign of Pisces on the 23rd.  This is not an ideal time to sign important documents or initiate new projects. It represents a time for finishing up the old. We are asked to trust our inner guidance as we ride these perplexing and contradictory energies. It is best to act on any new impulses after Mercury goes direct, on April 4th.
The sign of Pisces symbolized by two fish poised in opposite directions. One swims toward the realm of the soul, where spiritual inclinations and self-sacrifice are channeled towards a path of service to others. The other swims towards a world of personality where idealistic urges, strong fantasies and the need to retreat from the harsh realities of the world are underscored by substance abuse and addictions.  It’s interesting to note that Michael Jackson had a Pisces Moon and Whitney Houston had a Pisces rising sign with Neptune as her chart ruler.  Both met the downfall of their illustrious careers through the use of drugs.

On March 5th, passionate Venus transits out of high energy Aries into practical Taurus for the next four weeks. We are encouraged to slow down, live in the moment, and be content with the simple pleasures of life.  As an added boost, expansive, optimistic Jupiter is transiting Taurus until June 11th, offering a plethora of earthly delights. Wherever Taurus falls in your chart will reveal how this beneficial energy plays out for you, personally.
The Virgo Full Moon on March 8th at 18 degrees Virgo implies that we take time to heal ourselves body, mind and spirit through structured routine.  Since the Full Moon offers us a time for completions, this is a good time to pay attention to detail, schedule appointments, organize, plan, and finish up old projects and tasks that have plagued us for a while.
The Spring Equinox (Aries New Moon) on the 22nd at 2 degree Aries represents the movement of the Sun, as it crosses the true celestial equator. This symbolizes a time when the day and night are balanced. This Equinox is connected with the Sun-Uranus-and Mercury Retrograde configuration indicating the potential for jarring and erratic behavior. We are reminded to act with clear intention, courage, strength and boldness after April 14th when Mars (the spiritual warrior) goes direct as we initiate new beginnings and venture forth into the unknown.

When we think of abundance, many of us tend to think about our material world abundance first. Although money is important as one of our tools to help us create a successful life, true abundance is more than money. It is our well-being with Spirit, self and others.

When we realize Spirit is our true source for everything that is within our lives, we allow Spirit to work through us to create more magnificent lives than we could ever imagine. The opportunities Spirit provides us are part of Spirit’s love for us. These opportunities assist us to grow, to love, to enjoy, to share and to be all that we are created to be as expression of Spirit.

There are times we don’t get what we want immediately and we sometimes think we are being punished or that for some reason Spirit doesn’t want us to have something. Actually, when we don’t get what we want, it is because on some level WE are the ones who don’t believe we deserve what we want.

This workshop is designed to help you understand and release any restrictions you have concerning your abundance. The first part of each session will be discussion, followed by the use of relaxation techniques to explore old ‘programming’ – whether of this life or others – that has caused a resistance to allowing abundance in one or more areas of your life.
