AUGUST/SEPTEMBER ASTROLOGICAL UPDATE

At the start of each day, I have a morning routine of walking, meditation, and prayer. It is essential to quiet my mind and balance myself in these rapidly changing times. Recently, the magic of butterflies have graced my walks. I can’t help but marvel at the powerful symbolism that butterflies represent for transformation and change. They are reminding me that we are moving through a period of metamorphosis as we stretch and grow. There is a need for freedom, originality, and transformation as we deepen our paths of self-discovery to create a new future, unencumbered by the past.

We have reached a crossroad in consciousness where the veils of illusion have been lifted: economically, environmentally, politically, socially, and spiritually. Our altered sense of reality has separated us from a past of unconscious behavior to an uncharted future. We are challenged to reinvent our lives and break free of the status quo. We must transcend the collective ego-based mindsets to discover our true-life purpose and reason for being on the planet at this time in history. We can ask for guidance as we move forward to claim a greater sense of love, purpose and peace of mind.

As the month of August begins, the transiting Sun moves into the creative, high-spirited sign of Leo. We are called to “Let our Light Shine” as the magnificent spirits that we are. A favorable alliance between the Sun in Leo and Jupiter in Aries produces a fiery dose of exuberance and celebration. On August 7th the peace loving planet, Venus leaves Virgo and enters its ruling sign in Libra. Negotiations, cooperation, and mediation set the stage for the next six weeks. This is also a good time for relationships, love, and romance. Mars moves out of Leo into the self-disciplined sign of Virgo to help us get things in order for the next two months. This is an excellent time to attend to issues involving work and health. A cardinal face off between Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Aries heightens our sense of self-awareness. We are encouraged to be innovative, and revolutionary. On August 9th, the New Moon in Leo activates new beginnings, as we explore our deepest creative potentials. Mercury, the messenger of communication, makes the third of its retrograde journeys through the sign of Virgo, from August 21st to September 13th. Our thoughts turn inward as we use this period to re-analyze and rethink our priorities. This is not a time to initiate new projects.

The Virgo New Moon, on September 8th joins forces with the Sun, providing opportunities to make a new start. This is a good time to tend to details previously overlooked in the past. Intensity is the keyword as Venus transits into the sign of Scorpio on September 9th until the end of the year. Relationships are challenged by this difficult placement, as passions and crisis arise. Mercury turns direct on September 13th and we are able to implement our revised plans.

A powerful energy shift takes place when Pluto turns direct on the 14th. Energetic Mars, transits out of Libra into Scorpio on the 15th, where it will remain for the next six weeks. Mars is at home in this sign and the need to take action comes from an inside out process. Intensely focused energy accentuates this placement. This is a good time to challenge yourself and use your investigative skills. Retrograde Jupiter makes a return visit from Aries into Pisces on September 9th, to the end of the year. Our compassionate concerns turn to the needs of others. The Fall Equinox on September 22nd reflects a time when day and night are equal. We are reminded of the balance between the masculine and feminine energies (the Sun and the Moon) and the need for a dramatic re-balance in our world of extremes. We are each a hologram of the greater whole.

Choose to be at peace. And choose astrology as a valuable twenty-first century tool for self direction and the opportunity to Know Thy Self, authentically.

SIGNS FROM SPIRIT

For thousands of years, man has sought signs from the Creator to make decisions in life. These signs have been read by man in various civilizations for direction in how to live life, where and how to find food and shelter, where to locate settlements and spiritual structures, plus various other conditions man has asked the Creator to lead him through.

Although we have records indicating this search, many of the so-called civilized areas of our world has steadily relied more on the thinking process rather than the feelings of our hearts and the sensitivity to our environment and the people around us. I fact, we often mistrust anything we can’t see or understand through our logic in life. What if we were able to readily access information from Spirit or whatever we call the All?

The good news is that we can … and often do (even when we don’t always recognize the information) … in spite of our disbelief. The loving God I experience wants us to be happy and successful … and leads us through life when we are willing to hear and accept Its communication. Some of us recognize the energetic responses Carl Jung coined “synchronicity” in our lives. These occurrences are not random nor is the Universe. Whether we simply focus on a desired goal, or we consciously ask for help from Spirit, we often notice events of such synchronicity.

Sometimes, these occurrences are through a materialization of something in answer to our questions, sometimes another person tells us something that we find helpful, and sometimes a book or song on the radio has that answer. Sometimes the “sign” represents a warning to us to be careful or to let us know changes are coming. The only requirements that we need to fulfill to consciously receive signs are to ask, pay attention to the possible answers, and trust that we will receive them.

The classes coming up on August 5 and 19 offer how to ask for and recognize signs, how they may appear, and developing trust. Through guided meditation and the exercises developed for you, you have the opportunity to create a more powerful communication with Spirit by eliminating fear, forgiving and releasing limitations, developing gratitude and living a joyful and fulfilling life.

Question:  Will I have a soul mate in my life?

True love is giving, not limiting. Our relationships are the mirror of ourselves. God doesn’t give you the person you want, He gives you the person you need to help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you into the person you were meant to be.
