Rennie Davis, author of “THE NEW HUMANITY: A MOVEMENT TO CHANGE THE WORLD”
We met local author and 1960s legend Rennie Davis to discuss his new book, The New Humanity: A movement to Change the World. As a coordinator of the largest antiwar and civil rights coalition of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, Rennie Davis shared intimate stories about his role as one of the famed Chicago Seven, his partnership with John Lennon to end the Vietnam War, and how he orchestrated the largest civil disobedience arrest in American history. He also shared the secrets that led to the success of the Sixties movements and how we can harness those tools to support a new movement in promotion of peace and sustainability today.
A respected spokesman of his generation, Davis has appeared on NBC, ABC, CNN, MTV, the CBS Legend Series, Larry King Live, Barbara Walters, the BBC, and other national media forums.
