Plato, who was a mystery school initiate, located Atlantis beyond the Pillars of Hercules in the Atlantic Ocean. Pythagoras learned of Atlantis when he studied the secret teachings with the priests in the mystery temples of Egypt. Let’s examine this civilization that flourished around one million years ago, on a now sunken continent.
Contrasting modern science and Christian fundamentalists, the Ancient Wisdom teaches that humanity has lived on Earth 18,000,000 years. Ancient history tells of the destruction of the Lemurian continent by subterranean fires and earthquakes millions of years ago. The annihilation of Lemuria was followed by the gradual rising of the Atlantean continent. The Lemurians, called the third root race, perished with the advanced souls becoming the seed stock for the fourth root race, or Atlanteans.
The Atlantic Ocean in those ancient times contained many large islands with narrow straits between them, along with the continent of Atlantis. This is how Atlanteans were able to migrate across the ocean and settle in South America, Europe, and Africa. Approximately 850,000 years ago, due to a shift of the Earth’s axis, a major portion of the Atlantean continent was submerged in a great flood. The slow destruction of Atlantis continued with a large section of Atlantis sinking in 78,000 B.C. The final step in the disappearance of Atlantis took place 11,500 years ago, when the last island of Poseidon, which was about the size of Ireland, sunk beneath the waves.
The civilization of Atlantis was as diverse as it was advanced. It was populated with humans, non-humans, animals, human/animal hybrids, and forms of life extinct in our present time. Races with brown, yellow black, white, red, and other color skins populated Atlantis. Individuals ranged from two feet tall to well over thirty feet in height, with twenty seven feet being the average height of an adult Atlantean. It’s interesting to note that the Easter Island Statues, built by Atlantean descendants, are twenty seven feet tall and eight feet wide, mirroring the size of Atlanteans. The Ancient Wisdom teaches that our Atlantean ancestors were a race of giants, some of whom survived the destruction of Atlantis, and migrated to other portions of the world.
Atlantean science had learned to control the life-force in nature that is contained in all forms, knowledge our modern science is still unaware of. Air ships that could fly silently at low altitudes were commonplace on Atlantis. The scientists of Atlantis possessed advanced learning regarding the disciplines of mathematics, geometry, chemistry, mineralogy, physics and astronomy, as well as the occult sciences.
The History of Atlantis by Lewis Spence and Edgar Cayce’s Atlantis contain much good information about Atlantis and its inhabitants.
