Apocryphal books and manuscripts in addition to the 66 books that comprise the Bible contain important accounts and incidents of the life of Jesus that are missing from the Christian Bible. This article is based on the ancient records of the Essene Brotherhood and the Rosicrucian Order, which fill in many gaps concerning some little-known aspects of the earthly mission of Jesus.

When Jesus was born, the Essenes were already well established in parts of Palestine and Egypt, including a very large community in Galilee, its largest center located in Alexandria, Egypt, and their sacred temple/complex in Heliopolis, Egypt. Heliopolis is where their supreme officials met, and their highest spiritual ceremonies were held. Jesus was born into a family of devout Essenes within a community of Essenes. The parents of Jesus were Gentiles, not Jews. The Great White Brotherhood of Light includes the Essene Brotherhood.

The “School of the Essenes” was located at the summit of nearby Mount Carmel, which also held a great library, college, monastery and temple. Jesus studied here from the age of six to the fall of his thirteenth year. After completing his education at Mount Carmel, two Magi were placed in charge of conducting and instructing the young Jesus on the way to the distant school located in Jagganath, India where Jesus remained for about a year, becoming thoroughly familiar with ancient Buddhist teachings and rituals. Jesus, accompanied by his two Magi guides, then resided in Benares, studying many subjects, including Hinduism and Hindu healing methods.

Leaving Benares, Jesus accompanied as always by his two Magi guardians, traveled to other parts of India before returning to Jagannath where he stayed at the monastery for two more years. After completing his studies in India, some ancient records state the Jesus then visited Tibet. Departing Jagannath a second time, Jesus and the two Magi travel west toward Persia to a city named Pesepolis. Magi from throughout Persia came to Persepolis to instruct the youthful Jesus during the year or so he was there. Jesus demonstrated increasing healing power in Persepolis after studying the Magi healing principles taught there.

From Persia, Jesus and the Magi journeyed to regions between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, where Jesus consulted the greatest sages of Assyria. Like in Pesepolis, Magi from many lands came to see and teach Jesus who powerfully healed multitudes in the cities and towns around Chaldea, and in the lands between the two rivers. Leaving the Euphrates area, Jesus and his two Magi protectors briefly visit the ruins of Babylon on their way to Greece, where they stay a few months before proceeding to Alexandria, Egypt. After a short time visiting ancient shrines near Alexandria, they continued on to Heliopolis.

His spiritual training, education, experiences and travels had prepared Jesus for initiation into the higher levels of the Great White Brotherhood. This began in the supreme monastery at Heliopolis, Egypt starting with three months of meditation, prayer and study, followed by three preliminary tests that Jesus successfully passed. Jesus participated in additional spiritual preparations, initiations and ceremonies during the years he spent in Egypt, culminating with his Great Initiation held in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Reliable ancient records reveal that Jesus physically continued guiding and instructing his Apostles for years after his ascension.
